Tracking Finances, goals, life, etc...one big run on sentence.

So here it is. I've finally decided to start really tracking my finances and putting it out there for the world to see. Maybe this will hold me more accountable. Probably not, but at this point, I'm down for anything.
I started tracking my network on August 1, 2018. I used a spreadsheet from my favorite finance blog, www.budgetsaresexy.com . Here is the net worth part of that spreadsheet.

I've noticed two things: One being that we are doing pretty well, or at least more " well" than I thought we were. and Two, why have I not rolled some of these accounts into one simple account? Man, just remembering the passwords for all this stuff was effort I really didn't feel like expending. So definitely putting that on the "To do" list in the next month. Not today of course, I've already completed my quota of doing financial things by even making this post.
I'm going to start tracking this every month and really see where this goes. It's really strangely exciting to see how much money we're making without lifting a finger. Compound interest is amazing.
OK, so! With that out of the way,  Here is my overall motivation for this nonsense in the first place.
That's right, my little midlife crisis...The 73 Triumph Bonneville T140V... I spent $3500 on this bike 2 years ago, since then I've put another $1000 into it with a new(original) gas tank and various other odds and ends one doesn't think of till it's too late.  Yes this money could have been invested and blah blah blah, but I get to ride this to work everyday and it's definitely the best thing that's happened on that trip in years. Anyway, this bike now needs a bit more work. I purchased tires for it last week, to the tune of $240 between the tubes and the tires themselves. I now need to have these tires put on and balanced. I also need to have the carbs tuned. I'm hoping these are the last major money things for a while.
The last 10 years of our lives have been crazy. To sum it up: Had a kid, got smart, got our shit together, went from bad credit scores and stupid debt to owning a house within a year and a half of first child being born and debt free. Bought that house at the bottom of the market. Bought a car(shouldn't have done this), had a second kid, husband laid off from work a few months later. :::real fear felt for the first time:: Husband however, is resourceful and finds TWO jobs at a time when people didn't have jobs for years. This resulted in high daycare costs. We were so broke, but we held onto that house, and that car we shouldn't have bought. We accumulated credit card debt, we refinanced the house and got a much better interest rate. We paid off that truck. I had a full time job this entire time, while selling on eBay and at an antique store. Husband finally snagged a very good paying job. A year ago I decided to go back to school. First semester is insane for me, I have too many obligations. New years resolution this year is to simplify my life, so I drop all side hustles, get an easier position at work, concentrate on school and my health. So here we are now, making decent money and still feeling like we don't have anything. Tracking my finances and being conscious of where all the money is going is making a difference. Now, can I afford to have my motorcycle tires put on and the carbs synced? Stay tuned.
